Card Review - DT07-JP042 Naturia Landols.

While this card is face-up on the field, discard 1 Spell Card to negate the effect of an Effect Monster and destroy it.

My first review for this month. This time I go for 3rd Natural Synchron in duel terminal and maybe the last synchron of Natural monster.

Art:-

Ok, the art basically.......a turtle with a forest on its back act as a shield but Landols!??......does not makes any sense to me....

Like Natural Beast and Palkion, I don't like this art.....

Rating: 5/10

Stat and Requirement:-

This card is a level 7 synchron monster. Which means(again) level3+level4, 2+2+2+1, and.....(you get the point). But draw back here is you can only use earth tuner and non-tuner earth monster only which makes this card kinda hard to get out. As for the stat, an atk2350 kinda low for a level 7 monster and the def.....nah.

Rating: 5/10

Effect:-

The effect is easy, like the previous Natural (Beast=Negate Magic and Palkion= Negate Trap), this one negate effect. Well, this effect is little hard to coz you need to discard a hand(spell) card to acrivate its effect unlike the previous two.
Still, I guess while card on field still hurt your opponent too. With a cost a spell you can negate some of the powerful effect monster such as Judgement Dragon, DAD, and even Brionac.

Rating: 8/10

Overall: 8/10

Think that I overatted this card. Well, although this card is hard to summon but its has aa good effect inside especially the current metagame is using monster effect(lightsworn). Good effect comes with a greater cost(lets all just admit, konami is getting smarter, their will not makes something like goyo guardian, brionac, or DSR [easy to summon and have goos effect]) again.

Wow, my second review during this week. No much work to do, decide to make a review on extra pack 2.

Art: 5/10

Don’t blame me for low score coz I just didn’t feel any special in this card. Maybe because it is rare instead of super (note: I kind of disappointed when this card released in rare while I expect it to be super like allure of darkness). Anyway, dogs (or a wolf?) charge though the light…………does not go with me.

Stat and Requirement: n/a

This is a normal magic card and there is no cost to activate it…

Effect: 8.5/10

Three word, easy and conveniences. This maybe one of the most powerful search engine card in yugioh history. It has no cost, except discard 3 cards to graveyard (Well, lightsworn do like to mill graveyard). Its let you search the card that you want and make your deck thinner.

Overall: 9/10

Overall, this card is crazy, this card make lightsworn deck to a whole new level. Getting the card that you want to use instead afraid it discard to the graveyard (due to most of lightsworn effect) is possible now. What to expect more?

Card Review – Guardian of Order

If you control 2 or more LIGHT monster, you can special summon this card from your hand. You can only control 1 "Guardian of Order".


After a long time of holiday, I think its time for me to write a card review.

Art: 8/10
To be honest, I really like the art. Its like a guardian is coming to protect me.

Stat and Requirement: 7/10

Well, this is a level 8 with 2500/1200 beatstick. Seriously, the stats is kinda a low for a 8 star monster and being 8-star means you need to tribute 2 monster to summon it. As for def……like I say before, who bother about low def…

Effect: 8/10

The effect is simple and divided into two parts. First, as long you have two light monster on the field, you can special summon it. Second, you can only have one Guardian on the field. Easy to understand and use.

Overall: 8.5/10

Well, this card is kind of another version of cyber dragon. The drawback is just konami do not want to you spam a bunch a guardian on the field and OTK opponent (note: we all knew that konami dislike duelist plays OTK deck). So, who care if its low stat if easily summon on the field especially lightsworn deck.

Banlist 01/09/09 – Comment

Though it’s kind of late for me to update (its 10 days already since the 1/09/09 banlist). Here is some of my random thought regarding the banlist.

New banned:-
As usual, konami did not plan to kill certain deck. Instead, their plan to slow it. I kind of like this banlist. It’s like last time.

Monster Reborn – Expected, this card is way to strong, it also can special summon monster from opponent graveyard. You don’t want your monster your monster is on your side of opponent field , do you?

Dark Strike Fighter – 90% of the metagame is using this card to win a match. Limited this card will not affect this card because you only need one DSF to win a match. With this card banned, FTK is no longer possible in this metagame.

Card of the Safe Return – Expected, there is many card that can be special summon from graveyard (Example : Level Stealer, Limit Rebirth, etc..etc).

New unbanned:-

Call of the Hunted – Looks like konami plan to bring this card in return of banning Monster Reborn.

Blackwing – Gale of Hurricane – Expected, this card is way to strong. Consider as 1 of the most powerful tuner beside zombie carrier.

One for one – Expected, there is much useful level 1 monster in this metagame such as level stealer, phychic tuner, and treeborn frog and etc…etc.

Lab Development – Expected, when combo this card with mind master……….

Rescue Cat – Expected, rescue synchron have been dominated the metagame since the last half year.

Summon Priest – Same as above.

Mind Control – This card is way too crazy with synchron. It makes opponent loses monster and you gain monster at the same times.

Solemn Judgement – I did not expect this card will be limited. Maybe it suffers from overuse.

Cold Wave – Same as above, this card is suffering from overuse.

Demise, King of Armageddon – Donno why konami limited this card. Maybe it suffers from overuse by player. Hm…..

Black Rose Dragon – Same as above.


Semi-Limited:-

Mezuki – Didn’t expect this card coming. I wonder why konami semi-limit this card. Expect zombie dominate the next half year.

Bottomless Trap Hole – Again, like solemn judgement, this card is suffered from overuse as well.

Dulauren, Tiger King of Ice Boundary – Finally, no more frog OTK and Seal of Heritage nonsense.

Lonefire Blossom – Same as above, no more Seal of Heritage nonsense.

Chaos Sorcerer – This card is slow, though it’s powerful. No people play it anymore. So konami semi-limited hoping more people paying it.

No longer restricted:-

Breaker, the Magical Warrior – Not many people play this card these days.

Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest – After the errata, this card is rubbish……..No one play it anymore.

Destiny Draw – I donno why it’s semi-restricted in the first place….

Fissure – Yay, finally can play 3 fissure.

D.D Warrior Lady – Expect some light beatdown deck for this half of year.

Raiza the Storm Monach – No one care anymore whether this card is restricted anymore. But, I expect monach deck will coming back to this metagame.

Thought:-
Ok, like the previous banlist. Konami plan to slow certain of OTK deck. OTK is still possible, but not to imba and fast. I understand why Konami did not restricted Judgement Dragon coz extra pack 2 is coming (konami wants to make good fortunee from it’s). That all from me. Until then, play smart don’t play hard.
